LA Opera announces 2013-14 season

LA Opera Music Director James Conlon will conduct four productions during the 2013-14 season including Verdi’s Falstaff, Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor and Britten’s Billy Budd, which is part of Britten 100/LA: A Celebration.

James Conlon’s lifelong fascination with Britten is reflected in his personal three-year performance cycle of the composer’s works in America and Europe. And now it is the inspiration for LA Opera’s Britten 100/LA: A Celebration, a countywide collaboration featuring performances, conferences and exhibitions presented by a host of organizations.
